Popping up outta my rabbit hole.

Queen Misty 1997-2014
Hiya Blogland!!! I've finally returned to the land of the living or something such. I just fell down a rabbit hole in the last few weeks. Between the never-ending cold and snow, my back issues, a nasty flare-up of the Fibromyalgia,  and the crapfest of dealing with the Workman's Comp folk I just lost my mojo to blog.

To be quite honest I have been in a nice blue funk. I finally started some physical therapy last month which helped the Fibromyalgia pain some although did nothing back-wise. I finally got an MRI and it shows that I have a slipped/bulging/herniated disc that is causing the sciatica in my left leg. I see a neurosurgeon this week to discuss my options for treatment.

Being housebound and somewhat immobile has made me slowly lose my mind I think. I only get out for doctor's appointments, PT and church. To say I have cabin fever is an understatement!! I have been getting lots of wonderful doggie loving. They are glued on my lap!

I've been slogging along with the dollhouse. I can only work maybe 1/2 hour at a time so it's been a slow-go. I hope to have the grand reveal around April 1st.

At the top I placed a picture of our Queen Misty. She was 17 years old on January 8th. She had been failing (kidneys, etc.) for some time and we had to help her over the rainbow bridge last month. She was undisputedly the QUEEN in this house. she also had a "thing" for fresh produce from the grocery store.

Anyhow, getting back into the swing of things!!! I have a few not-so-exciting outfits to post. I need to take a picture of my PT outfit as it's the one I'm in the most!

Going to the doctors--all is thrifted

Dollar Store Rainbow socks!!

Church today-Thrifted skirt, LaneBryant sweater, old boots

Church-Walmart skirt, thrifted cardigan, thrifted booties, kmart sweater

Thrifted booties and jeans, DIY top from pjs.
DIY dress and vintage beads.

thrifted cardigan andskirt, gifted top

Thrifted dress and cardigan, old boots.
Yeah, I'm not setting the style world on fire but any day that I'm not in yoga pants and an oversize fleece is a win!!

I'm linking up with the fabulous Patti for Visible Monday and Seeker at Tres Chic Style Bits!!!!

Everyone have a wonderful day and I'll be back on Wednesday with new cute doggie pictures!!

You look great in green, Tamera...you should wear it often. And of course, with your beautiful smile!

I'm so sorry about Queen Misty, and all the other crap that you've had to deal with lately!
If it's any consolation I had neurosurgery 6 years ago and it changed my life. It can be very scary but a good surgeon can give you back your independence. Please feel free to email me of you have any concerns or fears.

So good to have you back, Tamera, even with the very sad news about Misty. Cats are always the ruler of the house, aren't they? What a tough time you have been having, I am really sorry about that. Let's hope there are some treatment options for your back problems, and that things improve. At least you are smiling and cosy and rocking some gorgeous colours! The print on your DIY dress is fabulous! xxx

So sorry about Queen Misty (all my cats are monarchs too). She looks like a sweetie. Your op-art dress is really fabulous, and you look great despite all the physical troubles. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xox.

I agree, any day out of yoga pants is certainly a win!! The Phoenix and you would have plenty to agree on when it comes to the subject of cabin fever. He too only gets out for doctor appointments or when he's dragged off to hospital. I completely feel your frustration, pain, imminent lunacy over health issues. Your rainbow socks and DIY frock are rocking my world! Oh dear Misty, you must be missing her so much, kidney failure was what finished off my beautiful black Angus about a decade ago. Misty is rolling around in a field of green leaves forever. Big hugs dear friend. xoxoxoxoxoxoox

So happy to see you are up to posting again Tamera.

I hope that the appointment with the neurosurgeon yields some promising options. My Mom had back surgery quite a while ago and it changed her life for the better. It is nothing to sneeze at however as we all know any kind of surgery comes with risks.

I am terribly sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. How sad. I'm sure that didn't help with the funk you were in.

Sending big hugs and continued healing thoughts your way!

bisous

I loved seeing the rundown of outfits!! I love the sweater with the pink on the shoulders, the way it draws the focus to your wonderful smile!! When I upcycle, I'll often add little pops of color with that in mind. I also was happy to see the fleur de lis!! I had decided, like yesterday, that I wanted something with that design. So cool!!

Hang in there. You are an inspiration for all of us as we deal with what life has decided to "bless" us with. A man named Job comes to mind...:-) XXOO

We all need a break sometimes. The Doctor has also been dealing with sciatica (Not the newest trend I hope) since mid-jan. Luckly, he doesn't have a disc problem. It's still taking forever to heal.

Your DIY dress is awesome, the colors are very Vix!

Sad to hear about Queen Misty. Hugs to you

Nice to see you out and about in Blogland, Tamera! I'm so sorry to hear about Queen Misty, but it sounds like it was her time to go over the rainbow. And speaking of rainbows, holy psychedelic, I love that DIY dress! That should banish winter and bring on spring. I also love your first outfit with all the bright colors and sun spots on the lens. You should link up to Spy Girl with those crazy socks - that's her prompt this week.

Keep on smiling!

Welcome back Tamera. This winter has been one for the books that's for sure. That and dealing with the health care system is enough to make anyone feel nutty. And being in pain, well, bless you for still smiling and dressing up! Sorry to hear the news about Misty. Looking forward to the big doll house reveal... Take good care.

Delighted to see you back but very sad to hear about Misty - another lovely creature who had the most fantastic life with you, though!
That psychedelic dress is the best thing ever, you look wonderful in all your outfits and you'd never guess you'd be plagued with pain either! xxxxxx

Temps in the 60s and you've popped up -- hope for spring does begin to seem possible even here in the frozen steppes of the Midwest.

Sending a farewell salute to her late majesty, Misty, Queen of the Produce Sack. I'm nursing an elderly feline now: picture a tiny tuxedo with crackle-glass yellow eyes, nestling snugly in a mink stole.

And sending you heartfelt encouragement to keep kicking back against that @#$% mind-numbing pain. Try acupuncture, try deep-tissue massage, try Eric Satie...but keep kicking!

Lovely photo of Misty on the fresh produce, they all have their funny little ways.
Great variety of looks, all of which you do very well.

Glad you are back. Sorry for all your woes, you are certainly getting hit with the bad lately. But thats why I like you, not letting it hold onto you for long. Here you are with a smile on your face and looking foward.....

So glad to see you back! You are looking lovely in all your dressing up, and I'm loving your hair!!! So cute. If you can't feel 100% you can at least languish in glamour! You've had my sympathy on your illness, now you've got my complete empathy. Feels like someone driving super heated nails into your back doesn't it? I was almost bent double and couldn't stand straight up at all before we finally got treatment. Three days in the hospital under a morphine drip. Surgery wasn't an option, but it resolved and I'm just fine, now. Can't do some things, and no comp (injured at my own business ... no luck at all!) but it's been years and I have no sciatica at all anymore!
Thinking about you, and I'm glad you found the cause! Do keep us posted.

And I'm so sad for you about your kitteh baby. Its the worst that they don't live forever, isn't it. I know I'll see all my animals one day, if I do indeed have as much soul as they all do.
